One of eight stadiums being readied for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, Al Thumama Stadium is unique in that it is situated in a beautiful specially crated park. Following the World Cup, the stadium will be reduced to 20,000 seats and part of the site redeveloped. The remaining seats will be donated to other countries. This is in line with what is expected to happen to the other seven World Cup stadiums in Qatar.
